DescriptionFrom the minds of Mantlo and Giffen, with a cover by King Kirby, the Man-Brute called WOODGOD premiered in the pages of Marvel Premiere #31 in 1976. Woodgod, Marvel's best all-nude superhero! It's only a matter of time before Marvel/Disney makes a big-budget Woodgod movie. Who would play Woodgod? Ben Stiller, Matthew McConaughey, Shia LeBuff??? Maybe Woodgod will team-up with Marvel's second best all-nude superhero, Man-Thing. Marvel/Disney Phase 69 Presents: GIANT-SIZE MAN-THING AND WOODGOD! I can see Stan Lee's signature cologne making a great product placement cameo in this film! By the way, I got a whiff of that cologne and you know what it smells like? Jack Kirby's tears.Social/Sharing |

Great page---love the intensity of Bronze Age Marvel! BTW, there is only one actor who can play Woodgod, and his name is Chris Pratt.

Now that's a sweet perm! Mac Davis could have pulled it off in the 70's, Hasselhoff and Nick Barrucci in the 80's, but for today's MCU, we need Dustin from Stranger Things!

This is the definition of a grail page. I don't know what you paid, but no price is too high. This page is swollen with the pagan spirit of WOODGOD.

This is now labled as "Prominant New Artwork" for some reason no one quite understands.

With Kasra as the newly appointed CEO of Comic Art Fans, things like this are going to happen. Get used to it. Though it should have been labeled as "Prominant Nude Artwork."

Just guessing here, but I'd expect Steve Kro's CAF gallery to be inactivated by October 15.

Fun story: Woodgod was actually my nickname in college.
Well, maybe not, but I wanted it to be.

How much wood would a woodgod wield if a woodgod could wield wood?
