DescriptionOh man oh man oh man, I was SO happy to add this one to my collection, and I am SO excited to share it with all of you.I've always been a HUGE Tigra fan, but finding vintage pages featuring the feline huntress has proven to be extremely difficult over the years, so being able to add this full page splashy image to my collection makes me do a joyful & jubilant jig. Thanks so much for looking! Social/Sharing |

I had to do a quick search of this character on CAF and found that this character is indeed rare in splash or cover form. Nothing for sale even. Congrats on adding this rare and cool gem to the collection!!!

Hi Tigra
Teach me Tigra how to kiss you
Marvel Chillers inks to kiss you
Stripe the hips, they belong to you
But brush me first, teach me what to do
Touching Tigra. Were I'm close to Wolves
Help me Tigra, I don't know 'bout that mood
I know Frank, you could love me too
But show me first, show me what you drew
This is her first splash that I have ever owned
What did I do to make fur so very cold?
Teach me Tigra how to tease you
Tigra, Tigra, Colletta squeezes through
All of his inks, his thrills give to you
But teach me Tigra when I meet you
Tigra

Finding any vintage 70's Tigra art seems to be quite difficult. That you were able to pull off acquiring this piece with such a great, large image of her is an outright coup on your part. Kudos, my friend!

Yeah, man, I've liked Tigra since reading the early West Coast Avengers issues, so it's cool seeing vintage goodness from before that time! Man, with the full splash, title lettering, the captions...really hard to beat as a Greer example. Love it, man. Big congrats! As you say, these ain't easy to find!

This is AWESOME, Paul! At first glance, I thought she was actually walking -across- a portion of the Chicago skyline, like some riff on "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman". I don't know if was due to the wonderfully cheesy title ("Night of the Huntress!"), Tigra's pose, or the fact that I've read comics all my life :) , but I needed to take a quick step back, readjust my perspective, and recognize that it was a towering and titanic page for -other- reasons. :) (At the very least, we can all agree that she is indeed walking like an Egyptian, though, right?) Fantastic pick up, Paul! Congrats!

Amazing early more savage rendition of Greer! One of my favorite characters in her early iterations. Congratz on an amazing pick up!

Fantastic! I love Tigra as well. I have most of her Monsters Unleashed magazine pages---but I wouldn't pass on her comicbook artwork; especially when they look like this! Congrats!

Colletta has come under fire plenty of times over the years with respect to his inking over Kirby, but nobody can deny his skills when it came to depicting beautiful women. His inks over Robbins here leads to arguably the best work of either man at Marvel during the 1970s. Big congrats on the spectacular pickup!
