DescriptionI am a fan of Eduardo’s pencil work so I had to take advantage of a commission opportunity a few years back. I asked him to do an homage to my favorite Hulk comic, issue 227 which was drawn (interiors) by the great Sal Buscema. I really enjoyed seeing his take on the cover (which was drawn by another great Hulk artist, Herb Trimpe).I have been chasing pages from Hulk 227 for many years and have managed to cobble together 4 pages, and I am always on the hunt for more pages. Please feel free to share any pages you are aware of, whether for sale, or not. If you’d like to see the pages I have, please click here. Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

Beautiful pencil work and a great re-imagining of the 227 cover.

Love seeing the homage in addition to the pages you already have from the original issue. Some tight pencils on display and I love the Iron Man helmet in the background.

Thanks Tyler, the Iron man scene in the book was impactful when I first read the issue, so I had to make sure that was included.

Pansica smashed the assignment! Hulk even has the 70's style to his physique.

I'm not familiar with Eduardo Pansica's work, but this is very nicely done. Hopefully some more Hulk 227 pages will turn up sooner than later!

Nice homage, man, but in Eduardo's unique style! Some fine line pencil work there. And nice note in the description, reminding us all of the want, nay, need for more Hulk 227 pages :) I shalt stay on the lookout! Congrats!

Yikes! What a stunning homage to Incredible Hulk #227 by Eduardo Pansica! But I should point out that it's not merely an "homage" so much as a "rethink." In the original Trimpe cover, the Avengers are coming to the rescue of Bruce Banner, who is being crushed in Hulk's grip. But in Eduardo's version, Burce Banner is laying at Hulk's feet, while the Avengers have all been defeated and all that is left of them are Iron Man's mask, Thor's Hammer, and Antman's helmet. That is a pretty different story than the one on Incredible Hulk #227. Still, fantastic pick-up, congrats!
