Description

From J. Michael Straczynski's "Grounded" storyline (Superman 701-14) for which Cassaday drew the covers. The storyline, which drew national press attention, has Superman walking from East to West visiting 11 cities to reconnect with people after being off Earth.

This issue is from the Chicago issue where Superman encounters a boy who is abused. Simply seeing the boy on the cover of a Superman comic, you know the outcome. For an artist did did some amazing covers, this is one of his most memorable.

The cover is hand dated June 24, 2010
