DescriptionTifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VIIArt by Rachta Lin Tifa Lockhart is one of the main characters from the Final Fantasy VII series of videogames by Square Enix. The original Final Fantasy VII (Playstation 1) game was hugely influential on me and got me into playing JRPG games in general. More recently I've also enjoyed diving into the FFVII Remake and FFVII Rebirth games on Playstation 4 and Playstation 5. I have also been collecting art from the Singapore-based Manga artist Rachta Lin for more than 5 years now. She has come a long way since I first came across her work. Originally she was doing unpublished illustrations and sketch covers at conventions and publishing an annual art book. She has gone on to publish her own manga, do published variants/covers for DC, Dynamite, and other publishers. She has also worked on Magic The Gathering, signed with Comic Sketch Art for her North American convention appearances, and is doing an in house CGC signing. Now she is getting even higher profile cover work with the Zatanna #1 cover for DC as well as an Absolute Batman NYCC Exclusive Variant cover upcoming. It's great to see her getting more of a spotlight and following in the industry, even if it means buying her work isn't as affordable as it used to be! There are several pieces of hers I've owned way before I ever got a scanner, so I took the time to go back and get new high resolution imaging to share on CAF, including this lovely one of Tifa from one of my favorite game franchises! This is a great image of Tifa! I haven't played FF in years but Tifa was my favorite character. I'll need to look up Rachta Lin's work. She's clearly very talented

Striking linework, especially in the hair and vegetation. FFVII was one of the games I always regret not playing when I was a more active gamer.

Be still my foolish heart, I think I'm in love with this Tifa Lockhart! And I didn't even know she existed until you posted this beautiful illustration. A wonderful addition to your collection, Kavi, congrats!

The attention to detail and body language really shows the character's strength and determination. It’s great to see how far Rachta Lin has come in her career, thanks in some small part to your dedicated promotion of her work, and this piece is a beautiful example of her talent.

Gorgeous! The game itself brings heavy nostalgia and what a great character choice. Excellent piece!
