DescriptionI am ashamed to say that I wasn't a Crisis on Infinite Earths fan to begin with, although I did ultimately become one, albeit much later. By that time, prices had escalated and, as a primarily Marvel fan, I am, again, ashamed to say that, even then, my priority still lay primarily at least in obtaining Marvel artwork - although I did want a nice representative Crisis page for my collection. However, by not getting my priorities right, so to speak, Crisis pages became even more expensive as time wore on.I finally decided to bite the bullet when Dino made this page available. I can afford only one or two really expensive pages a year and this page fell into that category when I decided to finally take the plunge (of course, what is perceived as "expensive" differs from collector to collector, but this was really expensive insofar as I was concerned). Many thanks to Dino. It is a really nice page though, with so very many heroes (I counted a total of 25) attacking the Anti-Monitor simultaneously. There are also superb images of Superman, Batman and the Martain Manhunter. The pencils are by the late great George Perez with inks by Jerry Ordway. And signed by George at the bottom of the page. The twilight of many heroes and their worlds. They will do what they must. To live and die as heroes. Perez in peak form controlling all universes and showing how team books taken to the extreme can and should be done!

Many thanks, Marcus! Yes, I think that the general consensus is that Crisis on Infinite Earths is THE team book that has therefore stood the test of time.

Ah, nice to see this page landed with you, CAB! It certainly is terrific. It is indeed a shame that you were so focused on Marvel art at the time, but you ultimately broadened your horizons and really rounded out your collection really well since, so don't feel too bad.

Many thanks, Rubén! Unfortunately, my problem is wanting to sample as much as I can in this hobby - which, then and especially now, is a very expensive process. Still, the old saying, "Better late than never" holds very true here.

Many thanks, Dave, for your exceedingly kind words. It is of course much more difficult and infinitely more expensive to purchase nice comic art nowadays although the more modern pieces are no less attractive and relatively less expensive. Unfortunately, this was one of the more expensive ones!

Grails are meant to be enjoyed. Nearly 20 years ago I paid the insane price of $1500 for a Grell page featuring Supergirl & B5 kissing. The guy threw the price out as a joke. I jumped & bought it, it took me months to clear my debt but at the end of the process. I had a gem. My only advice is get value for your money that you spent for this awsome page, hang it on a wall where you can see it everyday so that it puts a smile on your face everytime you see it.
