Description

This is the original cover painting for the romance novel by Nicole McGhee, published by Sphere, 1993. Tenderly depicted, a fine example of Pether's skill in composition, and in rendering exquisite scenes in loving detail. Large, impressive size adds to the visual effect, done in "wraparound" landscape format - and what a pity the horses were relegated to the back cover! Handpainted in gouache and acrylics on illustration board, 12.25" x 17.25" and Comes with a label attesting to its authenticity signed by Pether's widow, mounted to the back.
