I believe the artist is Karl Stephan. He was one of the three illustrators who left their mark on the German science fiction series in the 1950s and 1960s. The other two were Johnny Bruck, who became famous with Perry Rhodan, and Rudolf Sieber-Lonati, who was also successful on the market with paintings for crime and horror novels in addition to SF. They were active in various genres.

I had nothing to do with this cover.

My father, Dan Hosse, did the art for this, not the comic artists. He was art director for Aladdin Industries in the early 90s. I even own the original concept art for this work.

Just as an FYI, the artist is "Isaacs" but can't make out the first name in the inscription. I had id'd this for Heritage many years back.

So photorealistic.  The staging gives off the Moonlighting and the similar television private detectives shows vibe pairing potential romance, mystery, and thrilling danger all in one.

Haven't checked the comic yet (It may be in my sales boxes) but it looks like Flash Gorden 13 April 1969 at by Charles Nicholas and Vince Alascia- details sound right I found it using the advanced search on www.comics.org - now to see if the ocmic is still here
