DescriptionLots of Fantastic Four posts these days on CAF thanks to the excitement about the upcoming movie ... so I thought, "When in Rome ..."It's a BATTLE ROYALE with this epic double page title splash as our favorite web head finds himself joining forces with The Fantastic Four to combat Sandman and The Trapster!! This one is a definite 'dream come true' kind of acquisition. Thanks for allowing me to share it with all of you!! Social/Sharing |

"When in Rome", eh!? I think you meant "When on Yancy St. in Manhattan", yay!?
Banger of a Byrne ASM DPS - whenever Peter teams up with the FF (full team or even individual members) in the comics it's something pretty special. And to have them battling half of the Frightful Four here in Sandman & The Trapster makes it even more so!
Congrats Paul!

Enter: Sandman! The sheer scale and energy of the piece jumps out immediately and slams you in the face! A classic battle royale, but with a clarity and flow that’s hard to pull off, especially when artists think they need to fill the scene with too much debris flying around. The synergy between Spidey and the Fantastic Four is captured so naturally, which is no surprise to me, as I've always felt they worked well together. Each character feels dynamic, distinct, and full of life. Sandman and Trapster bring just the right level of menace, and the composition gives everyone their moment without ever feeling crowded. Again, don't fill the air with tons of debris, because then the scene looks TOO chaotic. It’s got that perfect blend of motion and storytelling that makes a large, single image so memorable. Felicitations, my good man!

Great way to score a great Byrne FF piece without having to pay the price of artwork from his actual FF run. Having Spidey on it makes it even more of a winner for me. Congrats on a fantastic DPS!

Way cooler than any DPS sized commission from that time period! It's published and has all the earmarks of a Byrne battle royale!
