DescriptionPenciled and inked on paper. Colors done on Wacom tablet. This is a print.I like how imperfect paper ink looks when its scanned and colored. This art is part of my series "Art that tells the story" Actually I try to do the only art that tells the story :) You can call it : Famous Women art or something like this... Anyway, the Irish Pirate Queen was a historic figure. Her name was Grace O'Malley (1530 - 1603) She began her carrier at the age of eleven. At 21 O'Malley became a pirate, a fearsome captain at sea and a slick politician on land. At time when much of Ireland was subject to English power she successfully defended the independence of her domains and is now referred to as The Pirate Queen of Ireland. This art is the Sea Ghost version of her. I also have another illustration where she depicted in front of the map of Ireland. Please see it under my profile. Thank you for your interest in my art.
