Description"Shadow/Batman: Part One" by Steve Orlando.A villain and his dead human puppets let slip clues that lead Batman, Robin (Damian Wayne), and the Shadow to separately unearth an old cabal of evil controlling the world called the Silent Seven. Tensions continue between Batman and Damian, the latter now operating solo from an old Teen Titans safe house in New York City. Issue 1 ends with Batman, under the spell of the Silent Seven, violently confronting Damian in the safe house. Damian responds with a bat grenade that blows up Batman. We learn in the next issue that this Batman was a Silent Seven imposter and that Batman and Shadow nemeses Ra's al-Ghul and Shiwan Khan are behind the evil machinations. Social/Sharing |

A team up for the ages! I like how Batman as the character that doesn't use guns is depicted as a reflection within the gun Shadow is holding. I must have run into this variant at NYCC that year too. congrats, very cool cover!

Dynamite / DC collab! Both came out of the pulp era of crime fighters! Dynamite pulled out the stops for this series!
