I'm a huge fan of the german artist Ingo R�mling. For a long time now. I love his work on the title "Malcolm Max" and several months ago I took the chance to own one of his ultra rare analog painted originals.

And in that moment on a Con in Germany in June 2024, we both were thinking about a commission in this style as he's doing the "Malcolm"-titles. Batman would be cool and Joker has to be in the scene. At has to be thrilling. That was the idea.

Now it took over a year, that Ingo had the time to finish this commission, he was very busy. But he nailed it!!!

I know his artwork in the german story of "Batman - The World" (from 2024), but I think, Ingo must do a story with Batman in the victorian age! This commission underlines it!!

Great job, Ingo! Really awesome! This commission means a lot to me!

It's a version of Gotham by Gaslight with the twist of the Joker as Jack Napier / Jack the Ripper!

Of course it is, Marcus. And it's great done by Ingo.

To be honest, when we were thinking about that commission, we didn't have in mind something like "Gotham by gaslight". But, yes, you are right. This would be a "perfect match".
