DescriptionMy love for Earth-2 books started with Helena Wayne and an adult Dick Grayson, along with Power Girl. And it was Joe Staton's version of them that I was first introduced to. It may have even been in this story (and then I bought the reboot issues of All Star Comics as some of my first back issues when I found my first comic book shop).Nothing about this page makes sense. Helena cooking in her Huntress costume and being surprised that Dick knew her secret identity. But, setting that aside, this page pushes all of my nostalgia buttons. That great updated Robin costume, the 70s Staton art (especially those facial expressions), and the small details (like the painting of Larry Lance in her apartment). And what you can't see in the scan is that Joe had drawn (and then whited out) a Batman shadow in the left third of the last panel. Not sure if removing it was his decision or editorial but its great to see it there in person. Bought this in late 2022 from Mike Burkey during a Dueling Dealers episode. Great page from a classic story. Staton excels here with his pencils and inks. I waited to long to pull the trigger during the shoe, congrats on getting this iconic page.

Ilia - I saw that. I hope you reached out to Mike. He has all of the pages from this short story. If he hasn't sold them privately, there are some GREAT ones left that he hasn't brpught on the show.

I read that run recently aand really enjoyed it, especially the early Staton art.

That middle panel is the prettiest we've seen of Huntress by Staton.
