Description

A classical (reminds me Greece and Roman sculpture) newsprint drawing by Patrick Jones. It reminded me of a statue from antiquity that I once saw at a museum on the American east coast.

A very nicely done life study drawing that takes in some of the more unique facets of the female form. What strikes the artist and leaves an impression on him are emphasized here. The stress and wrinkles on the arm making a post and the position of ribs and tense muscles of the back required to hold the pose are things that are captured with great detail.
