It's January 1st so...a Happy New Year! In all seriousness, though, this was an instant purchase. Best combo of wildlife and fantasy. Julie has quite the touch.
Thank you for the information. It is quite a striking piece and I am glad to have it in my collection.
Glad you like it. And, thanks for your help on the sources. My research will be easier. So, your comment is much appreciated on all accounts.
Thanks for the comment. I was surprised that nobody bought this one before I did. That aside, Ezio is definitely the epitome of an assassin. I agree with your sentiment.
I was merely wandering around eBay and ran into this by chance. I had wanted a superhero painting by Julie Bell, but this commissioned piece is one the best I have seen her create. Naturally I grabbed it.
Thanks! Actually, I was set to buy a different piece (a painting of Rogue), but Julie also happened to have "Kirin" with her. "Kirin" won easily.
Brian does a great job of pulling the viewer in. I actually was looking at one of Elena Bond's nighttime city paintings, but my walls aren't tall enough. Fortunately, I found Bryan's art and am just as satisfied.
Thanks. Your input is much appreciated. I have set aside a note of artwork to peruse and your collection is definitely on it.
Agreed. Richard did not have much of his Centipede Press Elric art leftover, but he still had this. It's not everyday an ink prelim can be so striking. Thanks for the note.
Good observation on the "bygone" wars thought. This reminded me of some of Mucha's posters depicting Sarah Bernhardt as well as other famous woomen from many moons ago.
(Deleted my last comment and inserted this instead due to new info learned):
Apparently the wings of the angel are very badly damaged, so she is holding feathers as a summon/plea for assistance for the flying pegasus. Thank you for your interest.
This is a fun one that I found on eBay by accident. It was almost like I tripped over something I didn't see. Fortunately, I looked back and saw a tresure and not the usual tree root. (LOL!)
The Boris work in your collection is excellent as well. Nicely framed, too.
Agreed. He is phenomenal in both doing and teaching. Glad you like the one I posted.
