Five gold rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

It's January 1st so...a Happy New Year! In all seriousness, though, this was an instant purchase. Best combo of wildlife and fantasy. Julie has quite the touch.

Very cool- do you know if Don takes painted commissions?

I will drop you a message concerning this topic.

This drawing belonged to me. It represents Snow White's evil queen and it was drawn by Alessandro Biffignandi by my specific request.

Thank you for the information. It is quite a striking piece and I am glad to have it in my collection.

Great illustration of the italian master Alessandro Biffignandi, drawn for the magazines "Confidenze" or "Grazia" in the '60s.

Glad you like it. And, thanks for your help on the sources. My research will be easier. So, your comment is much appreciated on all accounts.

Wow, this is great. Ezio is still my favorite Assassin.

Thanks for the comment. I was surprised that nobody bought this one before I did. That aside, Ezio is definitely the epitome of an assassin. I agree with your sentiment.

This appears to be the definitive painted image of Shi! Congrats! =)

I was merely wandering around eBay and ran into this by chance. I had wanted a superhero painting by Julie Bell, but this commissioned piece is one the best I have seen her create. Naturally I grabbed it.

This is a beautiful and oddly thought provoking piece. You certainly can't go wrong with a Julie Bell piece as your first and favorite OA. Congratulations! =)

Thanks! Actually, I was set to buy a different piece (a painting of Rogue), but Julie also happened to have "Kirin" with her. "Kirin" won easily.

There are books that Dorman did of GI Joe characters that were not used by Hasbro.  It might be from one of the volumes.  https://davedorman.wordpress.com/tag/military-art/

Thanks for the info!

Great feel to this!

Brian does a great job of pulling the viewer in. I actually was looking at one of Elena Bond's nighttime city paintings, but my walls aren't tall enough. Fortunately, I found Bryan's art and am just as satisfied.

Thanks. Your input is much appreciated. I have set aside a note of artwork to peruse and your collection is definitely on it.

Even a "rough sketch" by Hescox looks so great!

Agreed. Richard did not have much of his Centipede Press Elric art leftover, but he still had this. It's not everyday an ink prelim can be so striking. Thanks for the note.

Has just enough looseness to evoke the feel of the bygone war time era where gorgeous ladies took to the adventures in the skies.  Creates a sentimental attachment by the feelings it brings out of the audience.

Good observation on the "bygone" wars thought. This reminded me of some of Mucha's posters depicting Sarah Bernhardt as well as other famous woomen from many moons ago.

Stunning painting! (Is she using whatever she is holding as a food enticement for the horse??)

(Deleted my last comment and inserted this instead due to new info learned):

Apparently the wings of the angel are very badly damaged, so she is holding feathers as a summon/plea for assistance for the flying pegasus. Thank you for your interest.

Nice pick up!

This is a fun one that I found on eBay by accident. It was almost like I tripped over something I didn't see. Fortunately, I looked back and saw a tresure and not the usual tree root. (LOL!)

Bryan is a remarkable plein air painter! I have one of his CD's and it's very informative for painting street scenes.I believe he is also a gold medal winner of the prestigious California Art Club !

Agreed. He is phenomenal in both doing and teaching. Glad you like the one I posted.
