DescriptionIf not for Neal Adams I might never have gotten into comics and certainly not to the extent that I have. Throughout my years of collecting there have been many artists whose work I've enjoyed immensely, but Adams' was first and arguably the best in many regards. This page purchased from Tom Horvitz in the mid-90's is from "The Secret of the Waiting Graves" (Detective Comics #395, Jan. 1970), the very first (unless I'm mistaken) collaboration between the award-winning team of Denny O'Neil, Neal Adams and Dick Giordano.Social/Sharing |

I know what you mean about the personal influence of Neal Adams. If not for Neal being the most exciting thing that I had every seen in comics, I might have given up comics for cars, girls, and surfing. Thanks to Neal and Denny, because Denny made those Batman and Green Lantern/Green Arrow stories fun to read, I never gave up on comics. I continue to enjoy the meduim to this day. I feel sad whenever I hear that original art collectors don't read comics today because they've given up on the magic There's always something great to find when you enter a comic book shop.

This is awesome. I think this was one of the first Neal Adams stories I ever saw. It was reprinted in a big Batman hardback "Batman from the 30s to the 70s"
