Description

The 1970s are said to be the decade at Marvel where the writers stepped out front, and the great Don McGregor was not one to be outdone in the effluent prose department.
The small scan and "HALF SPLASH!!!" item description on ebay made no mention that a glued-on caption and some word balloons had fallen off this bronze-age beauty by Buckler and Janson. After thirteen years, I finally got around to recreating the missing lettering elements from a high resolution scan of the comic. The art in its unaltered state is now in additional images.

Very nice! I wish Marvel would give McGregor's classic Black Panther stories the TPB treatment. There was some wonderful artwork in them, including, of course, the pages you have.

That top panel is killer! Glad this run’s getting some well deserve pub these days! Congrats on the nice pick up!
