Description2018 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka CircuitOfficial Ferrari Race Poster Art Driver: Sebastian Vettel Art by Alex Maleev It's not often that my hobbies/interests combine - I'd love for it to happen more often! I've been an avid Formula 1 watcher and Scuderia Ferrari F1 supporter since I was a teenager during the era of Michael Schumacher's dominance on his journey to 5 championships with Ferrari in the early 2000s. Later on I'd go on to follow, watch, and become a fan of a young driver named Sebastian Vettel who would also dominate the sport with a different team (for Red Bull Racing). He would win 4 straight driver's championships between 2012 and 2014 with Red Bull. When Sebastian decided to move from Red Bull to Ferrari in 2015, I was absolutely stoked. The Suzuka race in 2018 was one to remember for Seb, who qualified 8th, but worked his way up the grid to 4th...only later to make contact with Max Verstappen and tumble down the order all the way down to 19th place...so he had to make a huge comeback drive....which he did! He ended up finishing the race in 6th place. What a performance! This is definitely one of the coolest pieces I own, and for so many reasons. In the additional images section, I've included the Tweet Ferrari made back during the lead up to this race where they unveiled the poster artwork. I've also uploaded some amateur pencil art, from yours truly, from when I was a kid. I would always be drawing Ferraris and other sports cars. FORZA FERRARI Social/Sharing |

I don't know much about Formula 1 racing, but I do know that this is an awesome piece of art.

Absolutely. It was for the race in Japan that year, so the red sun rising is meant to evoke the Japanese flag as well I'd imagine.

I LOVE motor sports racing original art! Never a fan of Ferrari and always hated Schumacher (Mika Hakkinen was my guy back then), but when it comes to art from motor sports, particularly Formula 1 and MotoGP, it just isn't around. Thankfully, the factthat a comic book artist did this is what made it posible for the original to come to light and be made available. I can't think of a single other person in the hobby who would be the right owner for this. Congrats!

Thanks man!!! And yea for sure - I searched for F1 art for a long time and nothing was really out there, not to purchase anyway - until something within the realm of comic artists who happened to be commissioned for an F1 project and the stars aligned for me. And haha I hear ya - Michael wasn't for everyone I suppose - I also liked Mika a lot - great driver and competitor/competition for Michael and a world class driver in his own right. Even though they had their battles/differences - I def think there was huge mutual respect there between the 2 of them
I watched the Italian Grand Prix Monza race live this morning and Ferrari couldn't convert poll to victory sadly but held onto 3rd and 4th. Red Bull finished 1/2 with Max breaking the record for 10 wins in a row and the team breaking the record with 15 wins in a row. Quite a season their having. Still I can't complain with seeing at least one Ferrari on the podium at Monza and it was a fantastic competitive race.

F1 NICE!!! I'm sure this will never leave your collection. What do you think of them cutting Sainz???? Crazy! I think he's the better of the two Ferrari drivers at the moment.

"At the moment" is pretty fleeting when it comes to the F1 scene, if it was 3 weeks ago after Charles won Monaco (and had consistently beaten Carlos for several weeks in a row prior) then we'd be saying something different - Ferrari as a whole has had 3 bad race weekends in a row really...
Anyway I believe Charles is a more complete driver and MUCH quicker than Carlos especially over 1 lap, he definately has issues with bad luck but he can also dominate if the car is in the right window.
For Ferrari bringing in Lewis Hamilton is basically something that was too good to pass up and I understand the move, no offense or diss at Carlos Sainz though - I think he's a solid driver and very intelligent, should be interesting to see where he ends up once he finally makes his mind up lol.
And yeah this one will be with my for quite some time! I dont really see F1 art "out there", so the fact that I stumbled into this opportunity to some degree was sort of like fate a few years ago

Ferrari on paper looks really sexy. I am interested in seeing what Hamilton does in the Ferrari--he hasn't impressed me in a while in the Mercedes.
