Description

See this gallery's main page for the heartwarming story of how this one-shot "Sound Effects" came to be. On these pages, Samantha Farrell protects the Hollywood brat pack from Blackout's attack. She gives herself a costume and a code name "Sapheara," which is sort of a portmanteau of her own first and last name. Iron Man blasts Blackout, and Sapheara prevents Klaw from escaping.

I chose to present the twelve pages of this book in pairs for narrative purposes. However, since I put pages 1 and 2 together, each pair was originally printed as the two sides of a single sheet. Most of the time it doesn't matter, but in this case, Sapheara breaks the border of the top panel on page 10. That choice is more artistically meaningful when she's breaking off the edge of the comic book instead of, as seems here, into the inter-page gutter. Sorry, Mr. Moline!

Satisfies Iron Man fans with action battling Klaw and is able to still work in the new exclusive character in the fight.
