Description

The JL8 strip by Yale Stewart takes the primary members of DC's Justice League of America and places them in elementary school as 8 years olds (JL + 8, get it?).

I think the strip is wonderful. Yale has a strong sense of pace and does an excellent job of conveying emotion through his character's body language and subtle expression changes. The dialog is excellent and the jokes are funny. He also handles poignant moments well.

In this strip, Karen and Diana are about to give the big kids a serious beat down. Right to left: Lex has taken a fall. Len and Jack are about to feel some serious pain. Hal can't believe what he's seeing. Winslow is set back (smart kid). Are we going to have blood and guts in a kids' strip? Maybe. You need to read it and see.

When Yale started this strip he was a raw a beginner just learning his craft. After nearly 300 issues, his skill has grown. JL8 is on hiatus while he works on some creator owned material. Still, JL8 is a strong strip well worth your time to read. Trust me!
