Description

My favorite cover from a very important book from my childhood. I tried to get this cover for years. Much thanks to Frank Giella for finally parting with it. If you have any pages from the interior story, contact me.

And yes, the face is a paste-on by Curt Swan, and no, could not restore the original face by Toth. I had it checked out.

You can see the original face of Superman preserved as the logo for the Super Friends letter column. Here is a scan. Scroll down.

I suppose you could get a new face produces from a scan of this logo. As much as I love Curt Swan, that face is wrong and Alex's is better.
