Description

Another beautiful Ramona Fradon piece. This time from Batmans Rogues Gallery, The Penguin. How The Penguin is depicted I always felt was interesting. How he dresses I feel is how rich and powerful men dressed in the 1940's. I immediately think of The Vanderbilts and The Rockerfellers. The Top Hat, The Umbrella, The Monocles and The Cigarette Holder are soo associated with The Penguin.

Great piece with a distinguished look of a gentleman! The monocle classes him him even further. He looks and acts all rich, but has the need to rob and steal every chance he gets. A perfect candidate for Mayor!
