DescriptionKing Feature Syndicate Inc. 1933April 2nd 1933, 91 years ago today, it was a Sunday and this Felix the Cat strip was published on many american newspapers. In the seventh panel Felix gets hit on the head by a brick.... does this remind you of anything? Even if the page is signed by Pat Sullivan, the art is by Messmer. Otto Messmer had been an employee of Sullivan's, and claimed to have created Felix, but Pat Sullivan wanted the fans to accept him as the artist, denying real artist and unsung hero Messmer recognition. 20.5"x16" Social/Sharing |
