Description

A Bruce McCorkindale "what if" version of Jack Kirby's cover art to MY OWN ROMANCE #75 that adds in Reed and Sue from the Fantastic Four! Pen, brush and ink on 13 X 20" bristol board. The #66 appellation is from the FF issue splash page from which Sue's character has been taken.

For whatever it's worth, the original MY OWN ROMANCE #66 cover was by Vince Colletta (perhaps with a Matt Baker layout). MY OWN ROMANCE #75 (May 1960) on which this re-imagination is based was the next-to-last issue of the title. The Fantastic Four itself did not debut until its #1 (November 1961) issue. Lot's of imagination in this one. Bruce did a great job!
