DescriptionYeah, I would have much rather have had a page that featured the members of the FF more predominately...but I figured - a Jim Lee Splash is still a Jim Lee Splash. I was going to get Jim to autograph it last year...until I found out he was charging $56 per signature. If Elvis came back from the grave, I wouldn't pay $56 for a signature. At least all of the FF members are present and accounted for. Social/Sharing |

I was in line to obtain the signature (the reason I took my art to the Portland - Rose City Con). A guy who was in the "Lee" party informed me of the fee. So, I got out of line
Irony of the times - I first met Jim Lee in San Diego on 1/19/92 (certain of the date...since it was my sons first bithday). He has sitting next to Jim Valentino...and was providing signatures and rough drawings (on comic backboards)...for NOTHING.
Fame and greed have ruined this hobby/industry.

Timothy,
Sorry to hear that. Ya know, I'm not against a guy making a few dollars. Especially when they have to sit there and listen to people bend their ear all day about comic stuff. About the last thing I want to do, is talk about work...on my day off. But if they are going to put themselves out there, they ought t at least make it affordable for the fans. At 65, I can afford it...I just won't, But how about the kids??? As a funder of Image comics...perhaps he sh9uld be worried about his.

Lee splash absolutely checked! The page and the literal splash Giganto is making! I remember this one distinctly. Congrats!

I will write Jim Lee on the art for 6 dollars. His signature is not attractive anyway. Mine is nicer. Lol. The greed...the greed. What a joke. I would want a sketch for that. The art does not need a signature anyway. I know what it is. You know what it is. Loads of people know. No signature required.

Peter,
For $6...you've got a deal.
When I schedule that trip to Ireland, I will be certain to pack this.
