DescriptionJim Lee and Scott William’s work on Uncanny X-Men was nothing short of spectacular. Scott’s inks elevated Jim’s pencils to a whole new level and together these two incredible artists sold record-breaking amounts of comic books in the 90’s and influenced an entire generation of fans and future artists.Unfortunately, their Uncanny run was very short lived. Jim penciled the interiors of only 15 issues. Specifically, issues #248 (1989), 256-258 (1989-1990), and 267-277 (1990–1991). In #267 he split penciling duties with Whilce Portacio, and in #273 he only drew 4 pages. Furthermore, Scott inked Jim on only 12 of those issues. Specifically, issues #256, 258, 267-268, 270-272 (The X-Tinction Agenda Crossover Event) and 273-277. Sometimes, Scott even split inking duties with another inker. As a result of their short run on this title it is very difficult to obtain an example of their work because collectors simply don’t let any go from their collection. It’s even harder to obtain a quality example of Wolverine, arguably the most famous X-Men member. In fact, there is a great article written by a fellow collector about how rare it is to find a quality image of Wolverine from Jim and Scott’s short run on Uncanny. It is well worth the read: https://comicart.tips/jim-lee-x-men-original-art/ This page is a stunning example of Wolverine (in his classic maroon and orange costume), Psylocke (in a classic pose) and Jubilee (Wolvie’s new partner introduced in Uncanny X-Men #244) as they enter the X-Tinction Agenda storyline. Hope you enjoy, and let me know in the comments if you consider this to be a splash page or an interior page 😉! - Image area: 10.5″ x 15.75″ - Originally owned and signed by Jim Lee. - Scott Williams also signed it in NYCC 2023 (Thanks so much Scott!) and I'll update the pic when I get the chance. Wow man! You did it again! Technically it is an interior but... what an interior!!! First panel is a semi splash better than anyone else I have seen or I can remember (inclouding splashes). It is probably the best or at least the best top 3 Wolverine's page of the run! Incredible pencils and inks. That Wolverine's fierceness is masterfully rendered. Huge congrats my friend!

Mind-blowing page you own. It's possibly the best of Jim Lee's entire Uncanny X-Men collection. It's a Splash with Wolverine in costume, with claws and in combat. Plus Psylocke and Jubilee in their signature poses. Wonderful splash that should be in a museum.

A fantastic page. Many congrats! My two cents' worth: this is a two-splash page! Or a two-thirds splash. It is really irrelevant as the content speaks for itself!

I guess this is an ok page if you're looking for a prime example of the incredibly dynamic work of Jim and Scott on Uncanny X-Men. Heck, who am I kidding? This page is freakin amazing. I think Foggy Bottom said it the best with his comment of "Baller". "Baller" indeed!

It doesn't matter whether this is an interior page or splash with the way that Wolverine, Jubilee and Psylocke burst out of the page! Wow, what a great example of an UXM page by Lee/Williams!

So you're the one who won this! I didn't expect it to go as high as it did, but the Wolverine explanation makes a lot more sense now. I'm more partial to the Psylocke panel at the bottom, but it's still a pretty cool page however you (or Wolverine) slice it. Huge congrats!
And I think this counts as a half-splash page (or interior page, for CAF classification purposes).

Phenomenal half-splash page from Jim Lee and Scott Williams! Spectacular action images of not one, but three X-Men: Jubilee, Wolverine and Psylocke! I think one of the secrets of the Lee/Williams run on Uncannty X-Men was the emotion that they managed to imbue the characters with; Jubilee attacks with a sheer joyful abandon, Wolverine with raw feral anger and Psylocke with cold, calculated precision. And the unique thing about Lee/Williams X-Men pages is they made every page seem like a collection of splashes. So you had your splash, your half-splash (This one), your quarter-splash and so on. Congrats on another jaw-dropping acquisition.

WHOA. One of THE best X-Men or Jim Lee pages ever. Hands down. When I think of Jim Lee I think of X-Tinction Agenda first and pages like this are why. Huge congrats!

This era of Lee is often how I think of these characters, in large part from the Acts of Vengeance storyline a few issues before. This is a pretty perfect page of these 3. Congrats!

You right, Lee/Williams X-men pages with Wolverine are extremely rare and you've got yourself one of the best examples. Congrats!

Brilliant! Love the Psylock bottom panel more than the Wolvie top. Which is saying more about the bottom panel because the top is chefs kiss.
PS cant believe only seeing this now - WOW

A lot of talk about the top 2/3 spalsh, and deservedly so. But look what Lee did with that bottom panel, tilting the camera to get a full-figure shot of Psylocke with background and the baddie. It's a comics layout class all in one. Congrats!

An Apex slice of the small field of work by the dynamic duo of Lee and Williams..I see this is a 2/3 splash. And a full page of Splatter once wolvie is finished with them.
