Description

Another WhatNot commission! Kinetix had more costume changes in sixty issues than some characters have had over decades, and you can bet I fully plan on getting a sketch card of Zoe in every single costume she's ever had! To start, though, I went with my favourite: her original costume design with its green recolouring, symbolic of what she went through with the Emerald Eye. I love how Jeff nailed the pearlescent effect of the uniform's light green portion, and how he added shadows to the symbol on her chest to show that it's ever so slightly floating. And he went with purple for the background, to give a nod to Zoe's good friendship with Shrinking Violet.

Update: as of February 2025, this sketch card has now been published in Jeff's 2025 "You Asked For It - In Colour!" sketchbook!

So charming! The hedband is a nice touch! This collection of Legion team members deserves a pedigree name like how they named the comics "Mile High Collection". "The Margaret Leigh-gion" has a nice ring to it.
