Description

Jeff was looking to keep up his streak of doing characters from the animated Legion for his warmup cards on WhatNot, but by this point he'd already done the three main female characters from the show - Saturn Girl, Triplicate Girl, and Phantom Girl - and wasn't sure who to do next. I thought the cartoon's version of Shrinking Violet would be right up his alley, and you can tell she really was!

Vi's in her Season 2 costume here, and it's such a fun design. I love her little flower and the purple streak in her hair. It's never really confirmed in the show whether she's naturally pale or if she's just a very dedicated goth, but I think either way, the black lipstick speaks for itself. Jeff really picked the right greens to make Vi pop against the background, and her expression is just the right mix of cheeky and sweet, which fits the bolder, sassier personality the showrunners gave her. And of course, the space background continues to be one of the best things Jeff's ever thought up for his sketch cards. I can't wait to have a whole Legion's worth!
