Description

Andy Runton's Owly provides wonderfully illustrated and nearly wordless stories for young people of all ages.

For that reason, I wanted him in my Sheldon Mayer sketchbook. I think he did a great job in my sketchbook. The paper gave him grief though - his ink wouldn't dry in the expected time frame. Because he feared smudging, he redid the piece on another sheet of paper (the image above).

He is one of the nicest guys on the planet.

I can't tell the difference between the two in terms of quality can you? Check the additional images for the one in the sketchbook or click the link above..

As you can see, both are gorgeous.

I'd like to get a Sugar and Spike 100 cover with Owly and friends for my collection from him someday. I really like his sense of humor.

The both spark the same pure joy with that fluid ink brush line for the smiles and warmth of togetherness.
