DescriptionTransformers Optimus Prime by Nick DragottaThe end of 2023 was kinda rough for me. One of the comics that got me through was Daniel Warren Johnson’s Transformers, which captures the incredible action and heart that DWJ brings to his projects, it also got me going back and rediscovering Transformers as a whole. Which prior to that I was mainly familiar with due to the Michael Bay movies. My deep dive has had me exploring the IDW comics, Transformers Prime Animated Series and more. Nick Dragotta is an incredible artist and I loved the Variant Cover he did for Daniel Warren Johnson’s Transformers so the idea of getting his rendition of one of my favorite action beats from the opening arc, where Optimus gets Megatron’s Cannon arm was a no brainer and man did Nick Deliver. Dragotta killed it at this show. One of my favorite pieces done at OAX!

Oh how the table's have turned! Reminds me of when Megatron blasted Ironhide in TF the Movie. Love the tones on this. Congrats!
