DescriptionI'm sure many comic art collectors are familiar with what I like to call the "Hembeck Bug": once you've bought your first card, it bites you, and next thing you know you own a dozen of them. It certainly bit me after I bought my first card, and here's proof: Hembeck card number two for my collection!Once again, Hembeck picks out an impressive amount of detail from Shady's comic design and retains it in his own work. And I particularly love the bouffant-esque hairstyle he's given her! Social/Sharing |

If I didn't know better I would think her skin turned blue from walking around with that outfit in winter!

In her defence, it was the '70s, where comic characters were immune to any costume-related consequences!

You've got a case of the Hembecks! Take two sketch cards and schedule a follow up to the art doctor. Love his work on this, the bangles, headdress, and cape are excellent !

I don't think the treatment worked! I've got over a dozen more Hembecks to post, and one in the mail on its way to me!

Were are they being sold? I got 2 Hembeck sketchcards from Jeff Wedding at OAX and have also been bitten by the Hembeck bug! It also doesn't help that his birthday is the same day as mine.

Hey, congrats on getting your first Hembecks! He sells his sketch cards on eBay, and usually lists five new ones for sale almost every day. If you go to eBay and search "Hembeck sketch card", you should be able to find his current listings and follow his eBay account. Happy collecting!
