Description

Last year at OAX I started my first ever sketchbook and had 4 pieces added to it. This year, I only opted to add one. The idea is to give an artist a movie prompt and then let them decide what to draw from there.

This year, I had my sights set on having JP add something as I really have been loving his colorful graffiti esque style. Just another talented creative voice with a wonderful graphical sensibility from Jiggy’s crew!

Pretty happy with the results here!

I could say more, but the charm of the piece is on full display here, commentary not really needed!

I feel like I need this on a T-Shirt or sticker!

fun thematic concept for a sketchbook with movie prompts, and this was a good movie choice for JP's fun style. it does feel sort of like a vintage t-shirt design to your point, and Jaws taking a bite out of the A in JAWS adds to that vibe. nice one

JP is awesome and his simpler designs make for great branding material. Stickers, shirts, posters, coasters, etc. can be made from them with how he distills the subject into its purest form.

This is an awesome addition to your sketchbook! The concept of giving artists a movie prompt and letting them run with it is such a fun way to curate a collection of unique, personal takes on classic films. Cuison’s colorful, energetic take on Jaws is full of personality. When a piece makes you immediately want it on a T-shirt or sticker, you know it’s something special! A great choice for this year’s sole addition to the sketchbook!
