DescriptionSupergirl’s debut into DC’s Animated Universe came with a slight retcon, courtesy of series writer Evan Dorkin. Now renamed Kara En-Ze, she came from Krypton’s sister planet, Argo, which suffered major cataclysmic events resulting from Krypton’s destruction. Eventually, Kal-El found her and brought her back to earth where she became known as Supergirl.Can’t say for certain who designed this look, but considering she was launched on The Adventures of Superman, specifically the episodes entitled Little Girl Lost, parts I & II, one might hazard a guess... Brazilian artist Gardenio Lima’s linework suggests a gracefulness and an undeniable girl-next-door quality which goes far to explain why Supergirl remains a fan-favourite. Social/Sharing |

Really hot with that deep dark eyelash work. The bare midriff look reinvigorated interest in fandom and was quickly adopted into DCU main fairly quickly with lots of good girl artists taking their shot in the 90's. Lima's take has that elegance of her floating amongst the clouds.
