Description

Hellcat has always been a favourite heroine of mine. As a bonafide Defenders fan, I loved the contrasts of her character: a mix of positive, outgoing personality against a back history of family abuse. Later on came developing psychic powers and a twisted relationship with...the Son of Satan, of all people!

I really liked the first issue of the current series: it has a strong para-normal noir feel and great covers by Pere Perez. The cover to issue 2 is truly representative of the atmosphere of the series and of the character, with the use of negative space higlighting the contradictions of her personality.

Now, Marvel, please, would you bring back the original Nighthawk, Valkyirie and Red Guardian please? Please?

Fabulous cover for Hellcat 2! Gorgeous layout by Pere Perez and great use of blacks to make the cover pop! Fantastic pick-up!

Perez is underrated IMO, and this a great example of my thoughts about that. The use of shadow and light here is next level, and Hellcat's costume is a perfect one for him to show out on. Awesome, Carlo. Big congrats!
