DescriptionClosing out issue #37 with these two great pages starring SPIDEY !!! (Well, it is his book after all)It’s also my 100th Ed McGuinness post! In his 63-year history, Spidey has had a lot of strange adventures. But being eaten by a Limbo monster named Re-Po -- who was originally a debt collector named Gus until he was corrupted and transformed by the Goblin Queen -- is one of the weirdest. Re-Po was tasked by the Goblin Queen to round up (ie eat) all the escaped demons from Limbo, including the Insidious Six and Rek-Rap. But Rek-Rap has discovered some other mysterious and potentially disturbing things about Re-Po. Like maybe he isn't confining his monstrous ways to just Limbo demons, and why does he keep returning to the same strange attic? Initially, Spidey shrugs off Rek-Rap's warnings, but after some sleuthing of his own, he realizes that Re-Po might indeed be more nefarious than originally suspected, and that Randy Robertson may be in danger. So Spidey goes back to said attic, where he finds Gus. As we see on these two pages I am posting tonight, Gus turns into the demon Re-Po monster and EATS SPIDEY !! Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Stay tuned for my Issue #38 posts where we find Spidey and Rek-Rap reunited (after having both been eaten). Where are they exactly? And how will they escape back into the real world in time to save Randy from Re-Po? Social/Sharing |

Wow, what amazing pages!!
That Page 20 splash looks like it should have been a cover!!
Congrats Paul on acquiring more gorgeous Spidey art.
If you continue like this, you will have to open up a
Spidey Art Exhibit.... I'll buy tickets to attend!

Talk about flexibility. Olympic gymnasts have nothing on Spidey. Digging those crazy poses.

McGuinness and Farmer absolutely nailed the dynamic action in these two Half-Splashes. The panel flow and just the sheer nuttiness of Spidey getting eaten alive by Re-Po. I mean, what even IS Spidey’s life at this point, really? Sixty-three years of web-slinging, and now he’s getting chomped down on by a demon debt collector? Is that really what it has all come to? Wild..... Can’t wait to see how Spidey gets out of this one (because, we all know death is permanent… right?).

If your Spidey ever gets re-po'ed, try to rnegotiate with the creditor for a new payment plan. If they try to sell it at auction, you can try to win/redeem it.
