I never read the comic, but I have always liked the character. In this piece, Jim beautifully sets the scene of The Zombie emerging from his grave. Jim did a great job designing this piece, featuring a prominent tree limb and a striking solid black background that frames the character.

Frighteningly effective and brilliantly executed genre piece. Even the master of macabre himself, Berni Wrightson, would be proud of this. Love all the amazing detail here. Especially the tree and the headstone.
