Description

Damage, in my opinion, is one of those heroes who doesn't receive enough attention. Somewhat lost to the proverbial ether, along with the 90's event Underworld, he's still the sort of character that intrigues me! His power set and overall design work for me, so I couldn't say no to this cover, which has a ton of stuff going on with it!

Can't say I remember anyone called Damage, but I love the skeleton guy in the background! Marimon & Don Hillsman did a great job delineating him like that, completely with diagonal, parallel lines.

Sweet 90's DC mayhem! They created characters that suddenly got their own #1 issues while long time characters only got mini series which rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way. What's new?!?! Damage by the original creator artist in James Marimon is a pretty get if just for the nostalgia of that time period.

Neat (and explosive) cover! I always like it when they mess around with the title and upper left corner box. Hard to see on the OA, but the word "DAMAGE" is all askew and, well, damaged. Which is cool. I only know this particular story line because I have picked up a couple Underworld Unleashed pieces over the years. It was a pretty fun (and epic) read.

The cover is clearly a visual metaphor for the title. Explody!!! Fun 90s style super detailed cover, and I always enjoy the messing up the title shtick. Great score!
