DescriptionI'm stunned. It's been weeks and I'm still at a loss for words. For over two decades, I have followed Miguelanxo Prado's work, always amazed by his creative genius. A Morpheus piece by him has been on my wish-list for years, and despite my best efforts to catch up with him at various festivals, I kept missing out. My most regrettable miss was the 2019 LCCAF, sidelined by the somewhat excruciating final stretches of that particularly messy thesis. Eventually I managed to commission a piece from him, thinking I knew what to expect—his depictions of the character have always been among my favourites. But nothing could have prepared me for this. What he has delivered surpasses all expectations, an absolute masterpiece and a genuine treasure. The beauty and delicacy of the piece leave me utterly astonished. The background colours swirl with a cosmic vibrancy that feels almost alive, creating a mesmerizing scene that pulls the viewer into a deeper narrative. Additionally, the character's body language conveys a sense mystery that makes me wonder what secrets are hidden just beyond the frame, or what tale is about to unfold. 𝘗.𝘚. Great camera angle and a heavenly vision by Prado! Even the cosmic heavens open up for him. Out of context, imagine looking up at night to see something this shocking!

Ahaha that would be interesting. Come to think of it, the closest I've come to seeing something like this in the real world was last year in May, when due to a massive solar storm we ended up with northern lights here in Switzerland, and as a result [and truly opportune timing] on the top of the alps we could see the aurora in the foreground and the milky way in the background.
