DescriptionOne of the most delightful parts of Como this year was finally having the opportunity to properly catch up with the incredible Giorgio Comolo, whom I've also admired for many years. It was a true pleasure to review the remarkable collection of works he had brought with him and to discuss them with him and his brother.I've always enjoyed his depictions of Morpheus… well I've enjoyed his depictions of everything and everyone. And I'm over the moon with this magnificent piece he has created for me. Characteristic of his creations, each detail within this work is a universe unto itself. When he first unveiled the piece in Como, I stood captivated before it, meticulously examining its intricate details for I don't know how long. What I do remember is that when I finally looked up, there was a crowd of onlookers similarly lost in the artwork's subtleties. Notice the lower-left corner? A robot's remains are almost concealed among the skull, poppies, and mushrooms. If you zoom in closely, you will discover countless "Easter eggs" hidden throughout this image; I wouldn't be surprised if I haven't uncovered them all, even after weeks of intense gazing. This is precisely what I truly appreciate about Giorgio Comolo's artistry: his extraordinary creativity, profound attention to detail, and a wonderful sense of humour! Social/Sharing |

This piece made Comolo use all his skills! Not as packed line-density wise, but does a lot storywise. Just in time for Season 2 of the Netflix show.

Exactly, it seems as though he packed a few stories in every inch of it! =D
