DescriptionI hemmed. I hawed. I finally sucked it up and bought this splash - and boy am I thrilled I did! This page immediately brings to mind Dante’s Inferno to me. As gorgeous as Emma looks, the background work with the flames and twisted bodies really sold this for me. Incredibly detailed piece of standalone art from Ramos and Cuevas and objectively better than any commission I could (realistically) hope to grab from Humberto. Social/Sharing |

Before I even read your description, I looked at the image and the first thing that popped into my head was Dante's Inferno. Nice cover. I like the fresh spin that Carlos gives to Humberto's pencils.

Thanks, Eric! Definitely like what Carlos adds to here. And glad we're on the same page with Inferno :) Seems to be even more appropriate now that the storyline has kicked off in the current X-Books.

WOW, so much wonderful detail put into this splash! I totally see the Dante’s Inferno vibes, which was a great choice for the imagery here. Congrats my friend.

Quite the striking image representing the hellscape of Rogue's psyche after absorbing billions of alien minds. I was a fan of Ramos' work going back to "Impulse," but I dont think I fully appreciated his talent until his work on X-Men. This piece is horrifically beautiful.

"Horrifically beautiful." If there's a more apt term out there to describe this, I haven't heard it yet. Thanks, Michael!

Dude...did we just Dante's Inferno and Little Mermaid this thing together on the same day?! All that's left is for us to practice karate in the basement together and we'd be best friends.

How does one dress when the weather calls for a hellfire human tornado?! For Emma, every occasion it's skin tight! Nice E!

"UH OH - OA" gallery is right...watch out my friend...nicer published pieces may start becoming more evident now that you broke the seal :) What a way to start! Great shot of Emma but what makes the image is the contrast of her vs. the twisting enflamed pillar in the backgroud. Outstanding detail on the latter. A real feast for the eyes. Congrats!

Thanks, bud! I was eyeing this for a bit too and couldn't figure out why it was still available. I just couldn't hold off any longer. I think I would've kicked myself if I lost out...though not as hard if it was a bud (sayyyy....you) that got it :)

Thanks, Brian! As I've been saying I think a lot of us saw it for but for one reason or another didn't pull the trigger. I can't say exactly why but ultimately one day I decided enough was enough!

I think keeping an even keel in hell is even harder in platforms - for anyone other than darling Emma.

Nice hellscape artwork as Ramos comes in with the classical illustrative linework. Frost's look is like the white flame of hellfire.

It's a pretty generic(ish) piece without that background IMO.
