DescriptionEDIT: Now a variant cover for X-Men Forever #2!My crown jewel from NYCC 2022! After many failed attempts, I finally managed to secure a commission from the man himself. When I was at Lake Como this year, Art's list had filled up (and then some) by the time I got to his table. He did however have an open signup list for both SDCC and NYCC so I figured - why the heck not? Fast forward to Thursday night at NYCC and I hadn't stopped by Art's table because 1) I forgot 2) subconsciously I didn't think it would be done. I heard rumblings that Art had brought several pre-done commissions with him so I stopped by Friday and lo-and-behold - VICTORY! Between the tilted body language and take-no-prisoners expression I couldn't love this piece more if I tried. Social/Sharing |

Awesome! So happy for you man! I have some limited experience collecting Arthur's work, so I know how absolutely thrilling it is to get one. I just love that you're experiencing that kind of joy for yourself. Love all the little skulls. Big time congrats!

I love how clean and geometric the background is. Kind of an 80's vibe!

The things dreams are made of - getting on his list and then actually getting the piece without stressing for years waiting for it. Congrats.

I was standing right behind you when you scooped this piece from Arthur and noticed your hands shaking with excitement when he handed it to you haha. I could tell you were stoked with the final result and rightfully so! He really knocked this commission out the park, man. Congrats on such a sick piece - It was great seeing your reaction in person!

Can you feel Mystique within my heart?
Can't you see my love shine through Art’s art?
Can you feel Mystique within my heart?
Can't you see his love lines through the dark?
NYCC on Thursday forgot
Skip that beat in my heart? Mystique in my art
After Lake Como’s been through
It can't seem too fast to add that list including you
You threw your name and tried through those Italian lines
I looked and saw that Art just over ruled my mind
And I tried for the New York show, yes I now know what to do
I tell myself I'm buying so let's just go let it flow
My heart does double beats for you, bro
Now you know my love won't grow cold
Oh this love will turn to gold shape shiftin’ love
Oh, my love, my love, my love

Superb and sooooo sexy. Those eyes are fantastic.
(If I had to nitpick on the layout though, why go 1.5 on the boobs? I mean, it's Art Adams so we need the 2.0 on any female he draws ^^).

I'm going to solve it by getting an Art Adams remarque on a separate piece of paper where he completes it. By eyeball estimates there's roughly only a 1/3 missing so shouldn't cost me too much!

Agreed (but it's the MOST important third ^^)

"I whip my hair back and forth, I whip my hair back and forth!" Some sass on this Raven, no doubt! Love her lean to her right, and her looking right at the viewer! Like "What?!" Diagonal thick black lines provide some nice contrast, and SWEET that you got some skull belt in there :) I was lucky enough to see this one in person! Congrats!

MEGA-congrats scoring an Adams, Eranga! It's beautiful! I love the hair on this one, as well as the simple, elegant background. Really, REALLY fantastic! Very cool that your Lake Como good fortune bled over into NYCC!
