Description"X-Factor"January 1983 Since I reunited pages 2 and 3 from this special 250th issue I have had the dream of getting the Sipdey's swingining The City full sequence. Until now, I've been unsuccessful... I've asked Jim Warden and all John Byrne'S big holders and collectors. Nobody knows about this page (title splash). Nobody knows where it can be. Probably it fell in a "black hole" collection. As I said in previous posts, I'm lucky enough to know Jorge Fornés. As I also said, Jorge is a big big comic fan and he takes a lot of care about his fans, too. One year ago, I explained Jorge my "story" and asked him if he would like to draw a recreation of FF250 title spash. Jorge was the perfect candidate because he is amazingly good drawing dynamic scenes, citiscapes and backgorunds. Jorge, inmediately, told me YES but you will have to be patient... I said, that's OK. Finally, here it is. In all its glory! The page looks as a perfect copy/recreation. But if you check all the details, everything is different!!!!!! The Spidey's pose, the hands, the buildings, etc... Jorge has been very fair drawing, inking and lettering the whole page in his personal way. KNEEL DOWN my friend! HATS OFF! “There's No Stopping You... 'Cause You're A Hero.” Spider-Man Social/Sharing |

A wonderful page. I think it is magnificent. It is a recreation but it also has its own personality. Outstanding for Jorge Fornés.

Excellent recreation! Like you say, all different, and yet he captured the essence of the image beautifully.

Gorgeously done by Jorge Fornes! It captures the feel of the early 80's aesthetic that Byrne had and what Spidey titles had going on at the time. More photographic and precise in the new wave high tech fast paced world where we immediately get put right in the middle of action!

Got that vintage-y throwback feel but with the modern Jorge spin! Spidey in his element! Congrats, Toni!

Now you have the sequence complete Toni!
Great recreation but in Fornés style , hate recreations that are a simple copy of the original...a good recreation needs some taste of the new artist mixing with the Old one !
Congrats !!! Again and again

I think this will do very nicely until you find the original. And I wish you much luck with that search my friend. Jorge did an amazing job here! This inking on this is (I have to say it) AMAZING!

Fantastic! I love this recreation of the title splash for FF #150 because it's NOT a line-for-line recreation of the original. It's a recreation of the original but in the style of its own artist--Jorge Fornes. The two are very similar but there are differences. Spidey's hands are different. The windows in the background are different. There are water towers in the new version that weren't in the original. And all that's good. Because, as much as I like the original art by John Byrne, I prefer the receation to be original art by Jorge Fornes. And it is. Congratulations on this original/recreation.
