Description

This is the first commission I ever ordered/purchased. Stephanie has this gorgeous painting style, and her seminal Phoenix cover is the consummate example I give for other artists. I asked her to evoke that cover in this piece. I like the unfinished quality of it in so insofar as it feels like an impression or like Jean is materializing Scott from her memories. You could also argue that the use of so much negative space and white speaks to the heat/fire, or the white room. Stephanie draws Jean so uniquely, and I just love it. This is an imposing 11" x 17".
