Description"Part Man, Part Machine, All Cop!"Mystery Sketch 2024: The second Schenectady Sketch. Ok fellow CAF friends, I've asked for Mystery Sketches for my birthday and Xmas on rotation since last year. I received two pieces as part of the Nov. 2023 cycle, and I don't know how my mother who gifted this Mystery Sketch to me lucked out and has received a piece from Manix twice (yes twice) in a row (see my Cyclops Manix piece)! She is the luckiest person I know. Also, I recognize it's silly to say my mom got me artwork. We call these the Schenectady sketches because that's where they're shipped to and Bill read it out on YT which made me giggle. <3 You Bill! That said, Manix always delivers incredible work. Robocop is one of my favorite childhood films and I'm happy to have a piece that speaks to that love. I love including the famous lines from the poster and how Manix captures multiple iterations of Robo and Murphy. Tubes for days! Murphy is the star but I can't help but get a kick out of little Robo storming through explosions. I will have to figure out a creative frame to put this in! Manix, Jiggy, and the Next Comic Art team always deliver; this is no exception. Thank you, Manix! Social/Sharing |

Murphy has never looked springier! Must be an upgrade. The art certainly is, to anyones collection! I have no idea on how many times I have seen Robocop. An embarassing amount. Not the crap remake, of course.

I recommend a big bowl of popcorn and a rewatch. Then watch Robodoc, the multi-part documentary. I'd say, before, I thought I was a Robocop aficionado but I learned so much. As for the remake, it's sad because it has a killer cast and they're just wasted on a terrible plot, silly feints/rules, and bad effects.
As for Manix, he just sets himself apart with these mystery sketches. I have to reevaluate my wall space to figure out where to put this piece.

This is a jackpot win mystery sketch! Manix brings something new to the table every time and goes even harder for mystery sketches even though it's half his commission rate.
