DescriptionWell, we got a taste of what a Sabra guest star in a Cloak & Dagger Middle East adventure in the form of two glorious penciled and inked unpublished pages. And what Bill Mantlo fan out there wouldn't have wanted to see a ROM Spaceknight and MICRONAUTS crossover? And yeah that IDW reboot nonesense does not count! The split screen cover art style was done by two seperate artists accordingly. Sabra with Cloak & Dagger was illustrated by Greek artist Kapandias Nikolaos, ROM Spaceknight with The Micronuats was done by David Holsey. As a regular customer I love the collaborative efforts by these two artists espcially.Social/Sharing |

Mantlo is well worthy of tribute with how many classic and inspiring stories of the 70's and 80's he penned that we are still nostalgic about.

I agree ofcourse. And this ficticious cover concept speaks to what else could have been under different circumstances,

Bill Mantlo wrote many of the stories that were most meaningful to me in the 70's/80's. I know Hasbro did their "universe" with IDW, but it would have been so cool to have seen Rom & the Micronatus crossover at Marvel (I mean, Rom and Brandy DID get shrunk WAY down toward the end of the run...).

Don't even get me started on IDW's Rom and Micronauts reboots they were atrocious. As I understand it, the reason why we never got a crossover during the Marvel days was because Marvel wasn't allowed to do that with two different licensed properties. Now how Marvel managed to do it with Transformers and G.I.Joe at the tail end of the 80s with that mini series I have no idea. I suppose everything is negotiable in the world of business when all parties involved have enough of a mutually beneficial incentive.
