Like pup taking the first steps into a new world. the awkwardness kind of reminds you that Miller would revisit this theme with the first outing of Batman in Batman Year One.

Of course this could have been funnier if the gang leader had said he would suck Batmans meat. It would have broken up Millers dark vision. Frank really should get a co writer. Still my favourite comic book of all time by the way.
