Description12.75“x17.75“ (32.5x44.5cm)1966 (according to what Bernie told Liz) A beautifully inked early piece by Bernie, one of his first attempts at adapting Frankenstein as a comic story. While I would have loved to see a comic book adaptation (which he ultimately did with Frankenstein Alive Alive!), I‘m kind of glad he decided against it in favor of the Frankenstein plates. This piece was published in „The Lost Frankenstein Pages“ (1993). Thanks Liz Wrightson! Social/Sharing |

The artwork looks so upbeat and of a high adventure in this opening work that don't match the forboding words of in the letter.
