A beautiful original plate by Bernie illustrated for Stephen King's limited edition of 'The Stand'.
Ink over pencil, with a chapter description at the top ('The good weather broke three days before the new year - Chapter 65').

The illustration isn‘t affixed to the bainbridge board anymore, due to the age of the rubber cement/glue.

Very nice piece by the Master, and during a great time period for his work! I was seriously eyeballing this one for a long time before I found the cemetary scene from Cycle of the Werewolf instead. But this piece is so beautiful! Congrats on the score!

Cmon. Its drawn in his best, most time consuming style. Its just as good as his Frankenstein.

Wow! What a cool Bernie Wrightson illustration! Maybe it doesn't have Frankenstein in it, but it's still really awesome! Congrats!

That's fantastic. An illustration by one of my favorite artists, from the first full-length novel I read by my favorite novelist.
