DescriptionJEAN-CLAUDE FOREST - Hypocrite “N'importe quoi de cheval” Original Art (1974).One of JC Forest's most original productions where his graphic style was best expressed through the character of a brunette teenage “Hyprocrite” with shoulder-length hair. Ink over graphite on Bristol paper with an image area of 24" x 16". _________________________________________________________________________________________ In questa tavola vediamo una delle produzioni più originali di JC Forest in cui il suo stile grafico veniva espresso al meglio attraverso il personaggio di un'adolescente bruna “Hypocrite”, una splendida ragazza con i capelli lunghi fino alle spalle che indossa minigonne mozzafiato e che dice sempre quello che le passa per la testa. Questa eroina è indubbiamente la più strampalata e imprevedibile tra quelle create da Forest, il quale nel 1962 ha dato vita, con Barbarella, al cosiddetto fumetto fantaerotico. Le storie surreali e rocambolesche ricche di personaggi e situazioni imprevedibili probabilmente troppo folli e troppo in anticipo coi tempi costrinsero Forest a interrompere le avventure di Hypocrite nel 1974. Pubblicata per la prima volta a puntate sulla rivista Pilote dal n.738 al n.759 e raccolta in volume da Dargaud nel 1974, “N'importe quoi de cheval” è l’ultima avventura di Hypocrite, qui Forest spinge il serial di fantascienza ai suoi limiti più arditi. Questo fumetto sa di atmosfera libertaria degli anni Settanta ma non ha perso nulla della sua attualità: su Yolande, il pianeta zoo vegetariano che non ammette carnivori, mangiare carne è severamente punito... In Italia questa avventura di Hypocrite fu pubblicata nell’Almanacco 1979 della Milano Libri. Inizialmente disegnata nel classico formato striscia Forest successivamente adottò un formato molto più grande utilizzando due fogli Bristol raccordati, questa tavola è una metà superiore e l'immagine misura ben 60 x 40 cm. Great illustrative storytelling! Its cartoony characters in a ver well rendered and defined setting. The power of the lightning and storm engulfs us into the story!
