Description

Okay, how's this for "Under the Radar"? Everyone knows that the original "Brave and the Bold" book was mostly about Batman being teamed up with someone(s). But how many know that it began with non-Batman team-ups?

In 1963 DC turned the book that had been used (or perhaps misused) as a source for several different things, and turned it into a team-up book. Issue 50 featured a team-up of Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter. And issue 51 was a pairing of water and air; Aquaman and Hawkman. This page, penciled and inked by Howard Purcell, features both!

Side note: They still couldn't quit messing around. Issues 57 and 58 were used to introduce Metamorpho. Awesome character, but why do that in their B&B book? Crazy!
